Supporting Moontime Care

The Period Purse takes seriously the issues of our responsibilities being on Indigenous territories. We have partnered with a few Indigenous communities to bring Moontime (period) care to those who need it.

We donate pads, tampons, dispensers, and reusable period products to Midwives doing frontline outreach work  in their communities and to a few local First Nation’s schools.

Also each year, The Period Purse fundraises to be able to purchase Moontime Reusable Kits. These kits include:

  • Menstrual cup
  • Menstrual disc
  • Reusable cloth pads
  • Reusable period underwear
  • Cloth “carrying” bag (to keep their period products in)
  • Organic pads and tampons
  • Motivational note with an Indigenous artwork and written in their language
  • Moontime essential oil
