Supporting Moon Time Care

The Period Purse takes seriously the issues of our responsibilities being on Indigenous territories. We have partnered with a few Indigenous communities to bring Moon Time (period) care to those who need it.

We donate pads, tampons, dispensers, menstrual cups and discs, cloth pads, period underwear to Midwives doing frontline outreach work in their communities and to a few local First Nation’s schools and community libraries.

Every January and February, The Period Purse fundraises to be able to purchase moon time reusable kits. These kits include:

  • Menstrual cup
  • Menstrual disc
  • Reusable cloth pads
  • Reusable period underwear
  • Cloth “carrying” bag (to keep their period products in)
  • Organic pads and tampons
  • Motivational note with an Indigenous artwork and written in their language
  • Moontime essential oil
